John O’Connor is Vice President of Operations for NVN Hotels. John brings over 25 years of successful leadership experience to the team. Over the course of his career, John has had direct involvement in the management of independent and franchised (including Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Choice, Wyndham, La Quinta and Stouffer brands) full-service, select-service, extended-stay, and conference center hotels throughout the country. In his role as Vice President of Operations, John is responsible for the operations and performance of all hotels managed by NVN Hotels. In particular, John works closely with hotel staff, the Vice President of Sales & Revenue Management, and the Corporate Controller in managing day to day operations, training, sales, food & beverage, human resources and accounting. John’s responsibilities also include the guidance and direction of hotel leadership on operational efficiencies, standards and execution of hotel management core competencies. He is also a member of the company’s Executive Committee.

Prior to joining NVN Hotels, John held various leadership positions in the hospitality industry including most recently Regional Vice President with White Lodging where he oversaw multiple Marriott, Hilton, and IHG properties and was a key team member in the development and implementation of the “White Lodging Way”, and prior to White Lodging, Director of Operations with Hospitality Management Corporation where he oversaw the development, opening, and operations of numerous hotels.

John received his B.S. in Hotel and Resort Management from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
