Vamsi Bonthala is a co-founder and Co-President of NVN Hotels. In this role, Vamsi oversees general corporate strategy, asset management and client development. Vamsi is also Managing Principal of NVN Hotels’ investment affiliate, Arbor Lodging Partners. Prior to co-founding NVN Hotels, Vamsi practiced corporate law in the Private Equity group of Kirkland & Ellis LLP and the Real Estate Group of Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP.
Vamsi received his BA in Economics and Political Science from the University of Michigan, where he received Class Honors and University Honors. Vamsi received his JD from the University of Michigan Law School, where he was an Associate Editor of the Michigan Journal of International Law. Vamsi has been a speaker at industry events, is a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) and the President’s Circle of the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, and is active in alumni affairs for Phillips Exeter Academy. He is also a previous Ambassador of the IHG Owners Association and member of the Board of Directors of Open Books.
Chief Financial Officer
Krishna Sangani is a co-founder and Chief Financial Officer of NVN Hotels. In this role, Krishna focuses on property accounting, financial reporting, and corporate administration. Prior to joining NVN Hotels, Krishna was a Senior Director with the New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation, a public benefit corporation which oversees New York City’s public health care system in all five boroughs. Krishna has also practiced as an independent accountant and financial advisor and has immense experience servicing several individual and corporate hotel owners.
Krishna received his BSc in Accounting from the University of Bombay. Krishna is admitted to the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New Jersey.
Vice President of Sales
Gay Haynes is Vice President of Sales for NVN Hotels. Gay brings over 30 years of hospitality sale experience to the team. Gay has had experience with full-service, select-service, resort, and conference center hotels throughout the United States. In her role as Vice President of Sales, Gay is responsible for the overall sales strategy and efforts of all hotels managed by NVN Hotels. Gay works directly with hotel sales teams, the Vice President of Operations, and third-party service providers to oversee direct sales efforts, revenue management, and ongoing training. Prior to joining NVN Hotels, Gay held various leadership positions in the hospitality industry including leading sales teams at large hotels managed by Hilton Hotels, Quorum Hotels & Resorts, Crestline Hotels & Resorts, and Destination Hotels & Resorts.
Gay is a certified hotel sales professional and attended the University of South Alabama and University of Northern Colorado.
Corporate Director of Human Resources
Barbara oversees all matters related to human resources management. Prior to joining NVN Hotels, Barbara held various HR leadership roles with various companies including Hyatt Hotels, Nikko Hotels, National Express, and Paper Source.
Barbara received her BA in Human Resources from DePaul University.
Monika is involved in all efforts related to property management with a particular focus on accounting, HR, and social media. Prior to joining NVN Hotels, Monika was an Account Executive with Havas Worldwide.
Monika received her BA in Communications from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Sheenal Patel is a co-founder and Co-President of NVN Hotels. In this role, Sheenal oversees general corporate strategy, asset management, and client development. Sheenal is also Managing Principal of NVN Hotels’ investment affiliate, Arbor Lodging Partners. Prior to co-founding NVN Hotels, Sheenal was a Vice President with CharterMac/Related Capital Company, a real estate finance company. Prior to joining Charter, Sheenal was a Financial Analyst in the Leveraged Finance/Investment Banking Group of CIBC World Markets.
Sheenal received his BA in Economics from the University of Michigan. Sheenal is a member of the President’s Circle of the Chicago Council on Global Affairs and is active in alumni affairs for Phillips Exeter Academy.
Vice President of Operations
John O’Connor is Vice President of Operations for NVN Hotels. John brings over 25 years of successful leadership experience to the team. Over the course of his career, John has had direct involvement in the management of independent and franchised (including Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Choice, Wyndham, La Quinta and Stouffer brands) full-service, select-service, extended-stay, and conference center hotels throughout the country. In his role as Vice President of Operations, John is responsible for the operations and performance of all hotels managed by NVN Hotels. In particular, John works closely with hotel staff, the Vice President of Sales & Revenue Management, and the Corporate Controller in managing day to day operations, training, sales, food & beverage, human resources and accounting. John’s responsibilities also include the guidance and direction of hotel leadership on operational efficiencies, standards and execution of hotel management core competencies. Prior to joining NVN Hotels, John held various leadership positions in the hospitality industry including most recently Regional Vice President with White Lodging where he oversaw multiple Marriott, Hilton, and IHG properties and was a key team member in the development and implementation of the “White Lodging Way”, and prior to White Lodging, Director of Operations with Hospitality Management Corporation where he oversaw the development, opening, and operations of numerous hotels.
John received his B.S. in Hotel and Resort Management from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
Dana is a Manager with the third-party firm, Watkins Meegan, and serves as the Corporate Controller for NVN Hotels. Dana oversees all efforts related to corporate accounting and reporting and manages a staff that provides accounting services to NVN Hotels. Dana handles all financial accounting, payroll and tax reporting for NVN Hotels and provides support to the general managers and corporate team through the use of internal control systems, design and analysis, strategic planning and the use of M3 accounting. With over 16 years of progressive experience, prior to working for Watkins Meegan, Dana served as Vice President and Controller for another large hospitality management company.
Associate Director of Guest Experience
Laura Landin is Associate Director of Guest Experience for NVN Hotels. In her role as Associate Director, Laura is responsible for training and supporting hotel team members in all matters related to guest service. In particular, Laura works closely with hotel General Managers, Front Office Managers, and Executive Housekeepers, and also serves as a task force specialist for NVN Hotels. Prior to joining NVN Hotels, Laura held various property-level supervisory positions with White Lodging.
Laura received her degree in Hospitality and Restaurant Management from the California School of Culinary Arts, Le Cordon Bleu.
